Hello there 🙂
By now, you've probably guessed we're testing many beauty products on Who What Wear HQ. From nail polish and make-up to hair and skin care we are in all new, exciting and, yes, desirable things eyebrow-deep. But because of the variety of products we come in contact with, we have also become one of the fussyest beauty consumers. Within seconds, we can determine if a new hair oil is too heavy, and we quickly ignore a serum that gives disappointing results.
The good news? We're more impressed than unimpressed after trying out a new product, and usually we can not wait to share it with all of our beauty junkies (aka you). That's why we decided that our latest favorite products should become a monthly ritual. About every 30 days, you'll receive a full report detailing the highlights, hairstyles, and skin care products for the night we quickly became addicted to.
In most cases, we will be dealing with busy product launches (as these usually account for most of the activity on our product-filled desks), but we will not reject new products for ourselves either. Because sometimes our best discoveries can be found in the vanity of one friend or on the face of another person at the bar – true story. The best beauty products we tasted in November! Grab your Gameface and your wallet. You will need both.
"I like Glossier, but I'm not the kind of Megafan that's always on alert when a new product comes out, I like to do my grooming before recommending anything (I mean, that's mine, duh and although I can generally be sure that everything Glossier brings in will be good, I'm more interested in great products. "Enter the new Pro Tip eyeliner from Glossier It's unbelievable, you think Probably, what could be so special Simple black liquid eyeliner? I'm happy to explain that to you! "The ultra-fine tip provides such thin, sharp lines that creating a super-chic, accurate-looking cat's eye is a breeze. Every liquid eyeliner enthusiast is aware of the annoying ink blot that can appear on your lid when the formula starts to dry while you try to apply it. This causes the brush tip to be in the ink and your drawing attempts to be sabotaged straight lines. The ink is black and black and after two weeks of daily use, I have no sign that it is going out or drying out in any way. Got it." "Full disclosure: I'm probably the laziest person when it comes to hair, I swear I was not always like that, I've worked through my locks so many times when I was younger, that I do not like playing around with them now either that changed when I got the Dyson Supersonic ™ dryer, not only is it ultra-fast drying (the digital V9 engine and Air Multiplier ™ technology boost airflow to produce a controlled jet of air at high speed), but the smart heat control protects against extreme heat damage, so I do not feel guilty about using it, and I also think it's great that it has three different attachments, including a diffuser, because my hair's mood is constantly changing. " Prominent artist Stevi Christine is the only person I've ever left near my eyebrows – she not only conjures with her tweezers (no wax!), But also makes the only products I come back to again and again. I'm already excited about her detailed eyebrow definition in Light ($ 26), but when she used this unique formula for sponge tip applicators the last time I dedicated myself to a rework, I left her forever. Although there are only two shades (though she has spilled, she has another middle ground option in the works!), It has this cool, tailored way to adapt to your individual hair color and skin color – like magic. The application and finish are silky smooth and natural, and now I'm not sure I'll ever see another brow product again. If I want more definition or a deeper color, I will contact my Definer to give some more momentum, but honestly, I do not really need that! I'm such a nail polish snob. Interestingly enough, I prefer to make my nails comfortably from the coffee table of my living room than to make them in the salon. I have a few favorite brands from Poland, but honestly I think that Olive & June is the polish (and the topcoat!) That is currently on the list – in every sense. It not only offers the most breathtaking and generally flattering shades – my current favorite is this new debut in rose gold – but also the most brilliant, saturated and satisfying color payout. The formulas are extremely shatterproof, and although I'm pretty tough on my nails, my Mani usually looks perfect for a whole week at home – at least. (Pro Tip: Follow the advice of Founder and CEO Sarah Gibson Tuttle and wear a clear topcoat every few days!) Unfortunately, I forgot to take a good picture of it (it's freezing cold and I was covered in jumpers and jeans), but this new discovery of self-tanning impressed me to hell. And for the context, I literally own and try hundreds of bronzing products for the home. (Take a look at the above insanity – and that's not all.) Mousse formulas are usually my favorite formulas, simply because I think they provide the most natural, smooth, consistent results, and make water – especially clear scared me. I will not lie – as I splashed it on my skin and spread it with a mitten, I was nervous of waking up the next morning, as if an Oompa Loompa had gone terribly wrong, but instead I woke up in an immaculate bronze color. There were no streaks or uneven skin in sight. my skin was hydrated, supple and radiant; and the color was almost inscrutable natural and perfect. Like, wow. I'm so excited that I discovered this in time for Christmas, when I want my skin to be the brightest. It also took a full week, with no rework needed, and as it faded, the process was patch-free. I love the dark, but the brand also makes light and medium formulas. I recently discovered this skin-transforming foundation / moisturizer / CC cream hybrid, and frankly, I'm a bit angry, it took me so long to find it. I'm a longtime fan of cult's cult favorite CC + Cream, but – drumroll – I think I like this formula even more. I'm always in a hurry to make up, and this epic tube lets my skin shine from within within seconds. I've put highlighter, bronzer and concealer over it, but frankly, I think it looks best on its own – true witchcraft, I tell you! Plus, there are so many amazing ingredients that hide in the formula that you give your TLC's Loving Spoon skin every time you wear it. I do not know about you, but my complexion really needs that. "I have recently tested this Hawthorne brand – and my love – they essentially send you a box of all the essential care products you need – and are specially tailored to you after you have completed a quiz to check your beauty habits The products are all amazing quality and smell amazing .It's the perfect gift idea, honest. " "To be honest, I've never had an electric toothbrush before, although I'm convinced that I have to buy one each time I go to the dentist, and to be honest, the high prices have always been a deterrent and that Most precious thing has changed recently, when I tried out an electric toothbrush from Quip, it's certainly the nicest new tool I've added to my bathroom. "At just $ 45, it's very affordable and the same size The normal toothbrush has the cool effect of a sleek, modern design. It also uses batteries so it can be stowed in a drawer instead of being plugged into the wall and easily stowed in a suitcase for travel. Now I am very happy that I finally have an electric toothbrush – even if it took me so long – because my teeth have never felt so clean. " "I've found that most lip balms, which have a dual lip color effect, are not as moisturizing as a normal, non-tinted balm, but it does what it promises, it also contains hyaluronic acid and soothes dry lips the Pulse color, which is basically an improved version of my natural lip color, and is perfect for an everyday look. " "This was the year of retinol for me, and at the age of 31, I decided it was finally time to jump on the train, reduce fine lines, fade acne scars, increase collagen, improve skin texture – Retinol seemed a gift According to my colleague's recommendation As a recommendation (which looks fifteen years younger than her), I got a prescription for Adapalene 0.3% (Differin's generic) which, as it turned out, was a mistake for a month or so, everything was alright – in fact, I saw a very noticeable difference to the product, my skin looked like it had been reversed, I introduced the product slowly, but my skin was in after a few international flights Rubble (the dry air from aircraft has been known to increase the drying effects. It has been so badly flaked that I have the impression of having a real skin condition. "It stayed that way for two weeks, although i I have sold the product immediately. I know you need to build a retinol tolerance, but prescription strength was a little too aggressive for me. After all, what I've read online is that someone of my age does not need such a strong product. "After my skin recovered, I received an e-mail from Shani Darden's team about their repackaged Retinol reform, which inspired him to develop the product as a gentle yet effective alternative to other options on the market The skin of my clients and even though I'm not fortunate enough to be a customer of Darden (she counts Jessica Alba and Chrissy Teigen as clients), I was more than happy to try. "The first one As I tried the product, I noticed the beautiful lotion-like texture that makes it super easy to apply to your skin and really moisturise your face. This was the exact opposite of adapalene, which looked like a drying gel that made my skin look dehydrated and somehow masklike. Adapalene also had strict rules to use no more than pea size because it's so strong and I'm very relieved to use a gentler formula that does not have that much disaster potential. Adapalene also contains methylparaben, and retinol reform is free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates and gluten. I have been using Retinol Reform for about a month without peeling off, and I can already see my skin change for the better – smoother tone and overall youthful looking. Our editor-in-chief Kristen, who has worked at Allure for several years (aka the most beautiful), is also a longtime fan. If you're new to retinol the way I am, I'd heartily recommend the Retinol reform as effective yet gentle starting point recommend. " "Enthusiasm for Augustinus Bader's products in the fashion world continues unabated, people who are very aware that they are not spending any free endorsements because they are being paid to make these endorsements (also called celebrities and influencers) Basically free PR because you can not hold back your enthusiasm for the product, Kate Bosworth, Victoria Beckham, and lots of other celebrities and influencers are obsessed, it feels like the new La Mer because it's popular and expensive practically everywhere . "Professor Bader himself also has a very impressive background in regenerative science. Needless to say, I was quite excited to get the rich cream of the brand in my hands. After using the product for a few weeks, I finally understand the hype and why tons of girls in the Who What Wear office put aside money from their paychecks for that particular cream. The ingredients apparently activate your own stem cells to switch to repair mode, and although I do not understand the exact science behind it, I know my skin has never looked tighter, brighter, or more youthful. " "I always try to try a new facial oil, especially one that promises a beautiful shine! This oil is obviously very aesthetic and filled with natural and organic ingredients as well as the Holy Grail Brightener Vitamin C. The facial oils that I use This oil is not the greasiest, it sinks well and my skin felt instantly quenched in. I have not used Cosmic Glow Oil in the morning (just at night), but I think it would work well in make-up because it's not very greasy. " "When I first examined the Wet Lip Oil Gloss, Kosas' newest must-have, I found that the fruit juice hue looked quite bright, so I was not sure what it would look like to me. ( I usually stick to nude lip shades.) But after trying it, I'm addicted, the consistency is a bit thick (in a good way) and pigmented for a shine, but it's easy to apply Dabbing the perfect wash of luscious shine resulted in bonus: It has stamina, unlike so many scraps. " "It has been in the back of my mind for quite some time that I had to start using a neck cream, as the thin skin in this area can certainly show age, as I love all things from Tatcha, it is the Ageless Revitalizing Neck Cream I love it as expected, the cream is thick and luxurious, but it's so supple that you do not pull on the skin at all, I think my neck has never felt softer. " "I like the effortless, somewhat imperfect way that French girls wear lip colors." Rouje's lip colors have long been on my radar, and when I saw them release a liquid lip color (that's my favorite lip color), I had to give it a try The colors of Le Rouje velor are subdivided into red, pink and nude. (I chose Marie, which is referred to as a brownish red.) The consistency is incredibly creamy and blurs well (a must for the French) and has a good amount Pigment with a touch of sharpness, as the bottles are ridiculously pretty, they are also great gifts, so I can say with certainty that I want them in every color. " "I'm a La Mer fan through and through. (I can not live without the Soft Cream.) I recently tried the Hydrating Sheet Mask (which for your information contains an ounce of the brand's care lotion and miracle soup!) I am totally addicted, which seriously moisturizes and radiates my skin (even if I only wear it for five minutes). " "I started investing in Eve Loms cleansing balm a couple of years ago. (It's really the best since sliced bread.) The brand has recently launched cleansing oil capsules, which are very popular for traveling, and I throw about six in one piece Baggie for a long weekend getaway, and it saves so much space in my carry-on bag, leaving my skin as soft, supple and hydrated as the balm. " "I love this cleanser from Susanne Kaufmann. I used a very frothy cleanser from another brand that I liked, but I realized that the lather actually exfoliated my skin too much and made it unnecessarily taut after cleansing As the name implies, this Cleansing Milk is so soothing and gentle: it contains chamomile extract that, according to the brand, regenerates the skin tissue, as well as other natural ingredients like rosehip oil that is totally clean and non-toxic. " "Fleur & Bee is another clean beauty brand that I've loved recently, this rich face cream contains so many amazing ingredients, including moisturizing aloe and lightening vitamin B3, I prefer to use this cream for my neck and chest Face I do not need such a thick moisturizer, since it costs $ 24, I do not feel guilty about spreading it over large swathes of skin, and it really does feel so luxurious and supple. " "I'm very loyal to Caudalie and have bought so many bottles of Radiance Serum over the years. My new obsession with the brand is this instant detox mask, which I use when my skin feels very clogged.I am prone to outbreaks and – knocking on wood – that did not make me break out at all – my face feels so fresh and clean after this mask, and I always lather up moisturizer after that – I probably only use it every two weeks so it will really last me a long time Time. " "Lately, I have been trying to reduce the amount of acidity in my routine and give my skin a break, and after reading this great article written by our beauty editor Erin, I learned that I had intense lasers, acids, or The same should be avoided Caudalies Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence is a soothing and moisturizing glycolic acid toner -based products usually do this. I especially mop it up with a cotton pad this morning and it leaves a radiant and radiant skin. " "As someone prone to outbreaks, I pretty much avoid anything in the name of 'oil' for fear of adding more unnecessary oils to my skin, but I've recently learned the secret in combat Essentially, by using an oil-based cleanser, your skin can actually maintain a healthy pH balance that is eliminated by most non-oil based cleansers. The beautician behind the botanical skin care line Monastery recently got me and since then, I've traded in her rose cleansing oil and never looked back, it's made up of 1000 Rosenbourbania petals from Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean and is as luxurious as it sounds.
