Hello there 🙂
Getting dressed for the winter and taking it off in style can sometimes be a big challenge. This editor has learned the hard way. While living on the West Coast for most of my life, I spent two years in NYC before returning to LA last spring. Getting dressed in New York for the long winter was a change, to say the least. While I was accustomed to banding together in Arizona or California, a leather jacket and some light layers were enough to get through. But it's a different story on the East Coast.
As a minimalist, I never wanted to buy too many pieces, but after some trying out, I discovered a winter wardrobe with capsules that allowed me to stay warm and stylish with a few important things at the same time. At first, the turtleneck top became the ultimate layer piece. To jeans or under a dress it gives every look a refined touch. Next, a heavier pullover was perfect for colder days. Although I did not want to give up clothes, I learned to love longer hemlines. Another winter needs? Ankle boots that are indispensable for pairing with long dresses and navigating on snow-covered sidewalks. And finally, fake fur coats are the ultimate defector to dispel the cold and look stylish. Go on to buy pieces from my winter capsule wardrobe.
