Hello there ๐Ÿ™‚

If you've ever looked in the mirror after a weekend of late nights and pizza sessions at 2 am to find dark circles under your eyes, a broken manicure, frizzy hair, and general chaos, you're not alone. Although it is perfectly acceptable to let off steam after every exhausting week of meetings, appointments and stress, most activities that are less healthy than early morning yoga and green juice tend to affect your appearance. Life is just not fair.

So what should a girl do? Do you settle for a spotty complexion in the name of a juicy brunch? Since I am firmly convinced that I can live my best life at the weekend (even if it means I have to camp on the couch for 48 hours at a time), the maintenance work that is required until Sunday is my best bet to give the new, no unknown week ahead. As a proactive beauty editor, I've developed a proven beauty routine for the night of Sunday that helps to reveal a totally refreshed, amazing-looking woman when all is said and done. A welcome side effect is that it helps me to break away from the fear of unknown things and to engage in unapologetic self-care in the coming week. Think of it as a whole body overhaul that also helps to reset the mind.

Find the beauty routine on Sunday evening, with which I enter Monday with the feeling to be 100% this slut.

This two-stage liquid peeling is currently my favorite. Step one contains an effective blend of lactic acid and glycolic acid to get rid of dead skin cells and instantly recognize a lighter, more energetic complexion. This compound will certainly tingle during use. It could even burn a little bit. But step two is to neutralize the chemicals with soothing Centella asiatica, green tea, and colloidal oatmeal. I enjoy the effect of this scrub all week as I look in the mirror to see tiny pores, a smooth skin tone and a clear complexion.

If you're looking for a less intense yet effective alternative, Bliss practical small scrubs are just what you need. The individually wrapped pads are soaked in glycolic acid, which is gradually released into the skin as it sleeps. There is also licorice, marigold extract and witch hazel, which are soaked in the bandages and soften them.

For a natural version of a scrub, I always resort to this option from Eminence. It uses willow bark and salicylic acid to remove the pores and promote cell turnover. Soothing plants then act on redness or inflammation to make the skin clear and radiant.

There is no better feeling than physically wiping off dead skin from every inch of your body (naturally from the neck down). It's just so satisfying to process a rough mixture before it's rinsed off to get a soft, supple skin. This from Dr. Teal is perfect for such a Sunday exfoliation, and the softness of your skin lasts until Monday.

I know, $ 54 may sound a bit steep for a body scrub, but trust me, it's worth it. First, it is a mask that detoxifies the skin, then superfine volcanic pumice gently peels off the skin as it rubs off. Oh, and it smells amazing. I really can not say enough about the intoxicating lychee air. It is such a luxurious experience that you will look forward to every single weekend.

I'm a big fan of this coffee peeling and not just because I'm a caffeine fiend. In addition to the scent of a freshly brewed cup that wraps around the shower, the mix also contains cold-pressed almond and macadamia oils that leave the skin feeling soft. If I use this scrub before shaving my legs, they will stay smooth all week.

Tired eyes are such a Sunday fight. Whether it's Netflix late at night or one to many glasses of wine (or both!), These bags do not match those soothing patches. They contain cornflower extract, arnica and chamomile, all anti-inflammatory agents that help to soothe and soften the skin while reducing the appearance of puffiness. Wear them in bed at bedtime and wake up refreshed to crush your Monday.

These hydrogel patches cool immediately and soothe the eye area with caffeine and hydrolyzed collagen. The individual packaging makes them very easy to transport, so you can carry this Sunday ritual anywhere.

I've never been to Iceland before, but I can honestly say that thanks to these eye gels I personally experienced the magic of Icelandic glacier water. They help to fold fine lines around the eye area and improve blood circulation to counteract swelling.

Deep conditioning on a sunday makes me go into the new week with healthy, manageable hair. One of my favorite deep conditioning tricks is putting a shower cap over my strands while my product is in place to absorb extra heat from my shower and allow the nutrients to penetrate my hair even further. This handy Briogeo Conditioner pack contains an Essence-enriched hair cap for maximum hydration.

I trusted this thick, luxurious conditioner for longer than I remember. It's a prop in my shower because it makes my hair feel soft, hydrated and loved. It's basically impossible not to have a good day after use.

This mask is a bit expensive but unreal. It is mixed with cocoa butter and keratin to intensively moisturize and strengthen each strand. While it is super moisturizing, the hair does not feel weighted.

I feel unstoppable when I have freshly painted nails. I have been taking a break from the gel manicure for a couple of months now, and with this Olive & June kit, it was so easy and fun to take my nailing game into my own hands. It contains everything you need for a flawless manicure, including the Poppy, a silicone ball that stabilizes your hand when applying nail polish. It's really awesome.

This may feel like a child's play, but it must be said that all other beauty efforts without adequate water intake are in vain. It used to be a lot better to drink plenty of water every day, but I've slipped for a while and the negative effects are evident in every aspect of my physical and mental well-being. It is an indisputable fact that water improves everything, from the skin to the hair and the mood. A humid Sunday is the first step towards a great Monday.

I'll just come out and say it: modeling masks are a skin care game. The frozen goose bumps may look a bit strange (as shown above), but there is no doubt that the ability to squeeze nutrients into your skin will cause immediate cushioning. Just wow. My current favorite is the soothing Hyaluronic Marine Gel Mask by Dr. Ing. Dennis Gross. It is a staple for Sunday in my house.

I have not tried this particular modeling mask for myself yet, but I've read countless reviews and even watched a video of one of my favorite beauty editors (hi, Faith!), Who was completely overwhelmed by the sheen of her skin after that Use. I would definitely be willing to deviate from my current masking obsession to give it a shot.

If you are not in the mood to spread vitamin-infused goop over your face, we have an alternative for you that is a little less tedious. It is a rubber sheet mask that mimics the effect of a modeling mask. You simply distribute the supplied serum ampoule on your face, put the rubber cover on it and wait until your skin has drunk all the nutrients. Next, I always get compliments on the eyebrows – these are the products I swear to.
