Hello there 🙂
This is Style in the south, a series in which our South American editor-in-chief Allyson shares (and does not follow) her insights into the trends and shopping habits of southern girls. She will also share her own experience of dressing since she returned to the South after more than a decade. Whether you live in the south, visit or are just curious. She's here to give her Who What Wear perspective on Southern style.
The general perception is that in the South it's always either hot or hot, but believe it or not, the weather (at least where I live in Raleigh, North Carolina) can be pretty wild. It's raining a lot and sometimes it's snowing too. There are long heat waves and just as long (very) cold moments. You have the idea. That's why a versatile wardrobe is very important. Since retiring to the South a few years ago, I've really tried to fill my wardrobe with garments that can be worn in several seasons, and there are certain brands that always provide stylish trinkets for every season and every climate. While these versatile fashion brands are not under the radar or groundbreaking, I buy their pieces almost every season, so they're definitely doing it right.
