Hello there 🙂
It's extremely tempting to shop during the holiday season, with big sales apparently everywhere you turn. But as tempting as these discounts and marketing tricks may be, anything that glitters isn't gold. There are certain categories whose prices are far from the lowest in December and which are much better to wait for if you want to get the best possible deal.
After some extensive googling, I discovered four things that you shouldn't buy on vacation, as you're guaranteed to pay more than at other times of the year. Read on to find out what's worst to buy during the holiday season.
Experts say that fine jewelry sales peaked in late January. So it's best to wait until Christmas is over to get the best deals.
As it is tempting and seasonally appropriate to buy winter clothing for the holidays, it is best to wait until the end of the season to shop. At the end of January / beginning of February, the winter parts are brought onto the market as the retailers make room for their spring inventory. So if you wait, you can buy the nice coat you saw at the cheapest price and still have enough time to wear it.
I am guilty of buying luggage myself during the holidays (vacation trips!), But in early spring you save the most money on your purchases. Luggage is heavily discounted in March because the vacation trip is over, but before people set off on their summer vacation plans.
It's no surprise that winter vacation and Valentine's Day are the best-selling scent periods, so you'll find the best deals around the end of February. As soon as the retailers finally put their perfumes on sale, you will end up spending significantly less than in December.
It is always safest to buy items that you wanted to buy anyway, regardless of the season or the sale price – things like jeans, active clothing, cosmetics, etc. Even late summer and autumn items are more likely to be sold on vacation since then Season, so you will probably get them at a great price.
Next up are the 43 gifts I would buy for the holidays.
