Hello there 🙂
When he's not working with big names like Rowan Blanchard, Barbie Ferreira, Camila Mendes, Hari Nef and Debby Ryan, celebrity stylist Chris Horan shares his fashion expertise with us Ask a stylist Series. Return to what you should know about fashion for a professional perspective.
With a new season, you might be wondering which shoes to buy this winter. I myself have planned my upcoming purchases and tried to narrow down the exact shoe styles that I will include in my closet in the coming months. To steer myself in the right direction, I sat down with Chris Horan, the famous celebrity stylist from Who What Wear, to find out which shoe trends are worth investing in now.
Here he highlights the most important winter shoe trends that are currently a must and why they deserve a place in your wardrobe. From heels to boots to sneakers, it covers all of your shoe needs for the coming cold winter months. Check out the four key trends on his list.
When it comes to heels, Horan suggests a satin version. "In my opinion, satin heels that reach to the toes are really good shoes," says Horan. They are versatile and give every outfit a touch of luxury.
Horan admits that sock boots feel a bit old-fashioned, but emphasizes that newer versions are 100% worth adding to your wardrobe. "I'm really obsessed with this Simon Miller shoe that looks like a sock boot update but has a more interesting toe," he says. He goes on to explain that regardless of the brand you're looking at, a cool architectural heel is essential to pull it off.
In the world of sneakers, Horan loves an updated version of the skate shoe. "I love the Gucci skate shoe that you just launched," he says. "It's less chunky than the crazy 80s, but it still looks like it's desperate."
Another pair of boots? A boot with a wide shaft. "I feel good because it could be very much Princess Diana with Levi's, but you can also wear it with a RIXO dress," explains Horan. And I personally could no longer agree.
